Finally picked up a shaman yesterday and am carrying it for the first time today. It happens to coincide with National Indigenous Peoples Day here in Canada, which is considerably more important than what toy I'm playing with. Still not sure how I feel about the Native series' nomenclature, but while I'm deciding where I stand I'll stand tall with a well built knife regardless of it's name. Really solid knife.

I had no idea what day it was and I live in Canada and have my status card as well lol.

Never had a problem with the Native series’ ‘nomenclature’ either lol. People get too offended over nothing these days. (Not saying you’re offended in this instance but I’m sure someone out there will cry misappropriation lol)
My partner is in education and very aware of all the important dates, which makes me aware by proxy :) I'll follow your lead and not make it into a bigger thing, as I'm sure there was no ill intent meant in the naming.

Still rockin’ the blacked out Resilience LW combo edge. It honestly has become one of my favorite designs. I look forward to testing it all next month!

Carrying mine today too and it's one of my favourites. I love 4V and have the new Goddard incoming. I'm guessing that's one you had absolutely no interest in?

Correct sir. I've got the Manix and this Military. Also had the Shaman for a few years. Frn and blockierish designs just don't work for me.

Cucumbers at their best ;)

Not sure if these are available around the country or not, but if you see Grillo's at your local store and haven't tried them...highly recommend!!

no time for pics yesterday, but it was a big day. my family and i moved into our first home. we've been renting for all 19 years we've been married and finally got to purchase our first home. spent all day moving in. i carried my 15v manix and pac salt, of course.

in bigger news, my wife actually asked me for a knife to use for unpacking. she never uses a knife for anything but cooking and eating, so i was happy to let her use my roadie all day. she wanted something that wasn't too big and was easy to open and close (in her case, meaning no complicated locks). halfway through the day, i asked how she was doing with it and she said she liked it. maybe there's hope for her yet. i think i'll just buy her a teal delica for when she's ready. 😂

May your feet be warm and dry and your throat warm with whiskey. A knife in hand or in the sock band.

Congrats on the new home and also good on you for (maybe) bringing your wife around to Spydercos! 🤣
