Ronin Necklace

#1

Post by fractoichi »

Does anyone have a Ronin. I aminclined to get one, but I am concerned the necklace might break. I realize the metal chain is covered, but the catologue pictue shows a small portion exposed.

I was wondering about the strenght of the chain, and whether it would "snap" easily.

Also,is the sheath designed to clip or thread through a belt?

It is just standard ball chain and if you were to pull it hard enough to break it,well lets just say that I would not want to put it aound my neck and try to break it.

The reason for using ball chain is based on the self-defense notion that the necklace should break if an opponent attempted to choke you with your own necklace.

The chain is not apt to just randomly break in normal use or under the force of drawing the knife from the sheath.

The Ronin is supplied with a removeable Mini TekLok. When attached to the sheath for belt-carry, the TekLok can be attached/removed to/from your belt without threading the belt through the clip. Maximum belt-width for use with the TekLok is 1-1/2".

Enjoy your Ronin!

I regularly practice ripping my Ronin from its sheath, and the ball chain is not affected at all.
