No pics, but still have the M4 Shaman in my pocket. I don’t think I’ve sharpened it yet, but it took a 15° edge from the CBN rods reaalllll quick while I was cooking dinner. I feel like it was 15° from the factory.
Took about 10 minutes, and it’s not perfect, but it’ll keep cutting up cardboard tomorrow morning. ~50 strokes on the CBNs, -10 on the Browns to clean it up.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Manix any day?
It took several tries many versions but I have a new found appreciation for the LW after buying and selling many over the years.

Why did the Spyderco cross the road? To show Benchmade it could be done…oh!!! JK - I like Benchmade, owned seven over the years…still miss my ranger green bugout, just despise omega springs…the Anthem is a grail tho, a real coil spring like …..SPYDERCO!!!
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
yes. every day is manix day. the lw is a great knife, especially now that you can take them apart and maintain them. still waiting for that magnacut... it's probably going to be my favorite iteration.

I hear ya. Back when I was researching my first quality to knife to buy Benchmade was high on the list. Just couldn’t get to terms with the omega spring: it’s such a bad design. Plus reports of softer heat treats and such…,glad I got into Spydies instead!SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:18 am
