Construction this week, so the Manix is in my pocket. It’s one of only two second-hand Spyderco’s I own, and already had a patina when I picked it up. That and the strong lock, light weight, and easily-accessible tip make it great for this kind of work.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thanks! Its definitely my favorite these days.
At some point I'm going to do up one in H2 the same way. I've got too many Pacific Salts but the steel nerd in me wants to compare them.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
So far I don’t see a difference in the SE but haven’t had it that long (Blade Show) and I know you’re talking about PE… I would like to find an OG Pacific in PE to try out the handle and see how well it slices using your method cuz it sure does work on my Dfly salt H1 PE…guessing I’d have to reprofile it first tho so I’m gonna have to go back and look at that thread again
