Where to find a CRIMPT
Where to find a CRIMPT
Are the CRMPTs out of prototype stage? I'd like to obtain one of these, any sources or guidance?

The CRMIPT is somewhere..I'm not sure of where it stands...most of the LEO's & Federal Agencies I know really want it but hey..its coming..
actually the ISA asked as well...
They all love Blue and that its a "working tool" as in the Blue Glock simunition guns...
how cool!
SPYDERCO is doing a great job..its not as easy as it seems to get GUNTINGs and DRONEs out to the public as they are wanted..
The CRMIPT will be the live handle in Blue & trainer DRONE blade that isn't totally rounded off..
Don't hold your breath but it will be here...
for now USE THE DRONE..its almost as good as a working tool..
New for SWAT called it "the best Less than Lethal tool ever designed.."not bad for a trainer drone-impact tool..
have a great 4th of July!

Ok, perhaps I am being a little thick, but I'm still not sure I understand what a CRMIPT is. Would it help to know what "CRMIPT" stands for? Thanks in advance for the clarification.
Never mind, found the answer on the forum dated May 1st (Close Range Medium Impact Tool for those also in the dark.)
Best Regards,
Jake

Security Officers, LEO, Bodyguards and of course self-defense minded civilians...
some people do not believe in cutting but want a tool..others cannot carry a knife so the CRMIPT is the right ticket..
the CRMIPT is for everybody...
But as I have said till it comes out the next best thing is the DRONE..theres almost no difference and for now it will do..
OK you're right it won't rip someone like a cRMIPT will nor pinch like one..nor scrape like one..but its really close and it IS available NOW...
see ya!!

Due to certain peoples problems with my acronyms..( hint hint Peter!) I might change it..
Close Range Medium ImPact Tool...
I might drop the force level moniker..
There will be no CRMIPT for the general public.
It is an LEO and LEO community related tool.
If you fit in any of the categories that were previously listed, then you have a chance in the upcoming future of getting a CRMIPT.
The Gunting project does not bear out the production of the CRMIPT..its too close to the DRONE.It costs money to make these things you know...<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> The CRMIPT will be made for me exclusively and for my usage with LEO & LEO Community. It will not be part of the regular Spyderco Gunting line-up.
This is the same as with certain Wegners etc.
If you need an impact tool use your DRONE. It works as a trainer- impact tool. a dual usage tool..thats the uniqueness of the design.
thanks

All due respect Bram, which is it? This seems a bit backwards: the blade for general purchase, and the dull metal stick for LEO only.

Its not backwards @ all...ROFL
the Gunting is an edged tool.and is just that..an edged tool...designed for eveyone...and it happens to offer non lethal to less than lethal to lethal aspects..
The Drone is a trainer and an impact tool..again designed for everyone..
evryone needs to be able to train and some want or need a non lethal response tool.
The CRMIPT-Close Range Medium Impact Tool was designed for LEO not public usage..thats all.
It has features for the LEO & related services.
The jutte, ASP , Kubaton etc were also not designed for the general public..
The CRMIPT was designed too fit within all departments Use of Force Continuum with out altering policy..and fits the description of a user tool not training device.
be safe
