What’s more impressive is when we find out later that you cut that tire up with it. 😎

Brand new Manix. Never tried one. Thought I’d try it out.
Such a great knife! Is it in Bd1n ?

Let us know your thoughts!
Yea, BD1N. Bought the base model to try out first. Getting used to the ball lock, I got cut by the Bugout once so I’m gunshy to close knives like that but I like the blade shape and handle feel so far. Almost more than my PM2
welcome to team manix. :winking-tongue
Thanks! I find the handle more suited my hand. Does the ball spring loosen over time? Mine is pretty stiff

some say it does. if you have a safe place to leave it overnight, leave it in the half open position so the spring stays compressed and it may help a little.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

This model is making a serious case for #2. I reach for it over my Military, Police folders and Manix XL's, which is saying a lot.

When I first got into Spyderco I was all about index choils, but it seems as the years go on I gravitate towards models that lack them....

I bought one up a few days ago but it has a hotspot on my middle finger where the hump is. Don’t remember that on my G10 PM2 but I sold that one unfortunately. I like the cruwear steel though. Maybe I should do a blade swap

So glad you like it, Salty! :smlling-eyes

But then: Who who appreciates sheer cutting performance and high quality construction would not?

-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

You got it! Nice Salty! For simply having a pocket knife, it doesn't get much better. For the non-knife enthusiast, I always pick this model as a gift or recommendation. I gave all of mine away, and just recently picked up the Sage 5 LW. I am enjoying it equally as well. Maybe a bit more since I prefer medium to large knives. The feel and quality is right on par with the Chaparral.
