Re: Shaman 15V, Bad QC
My attempt to show a Youtube video, sorry Im not to savy at it and I cant spend all day everyday posting to any forums.
I wonder how many of you that are here and on here all day long posting. Do you work? Steal time at work? Are you retired with nothing to do?

Re: Shaman 15V, Bad QC
It was worth reading through all this just to hear Sal say we should Grock all the points of view. Thanks for that Sal.
Re: Shaman 15V, Bad QC
Not trying to open a can of worms here but did we resolve the Qc issue?

Re: Shaman 15V, Bad QC
This same thing goes on with every 'collectible' I've been interested in. Every year Peterson (smoking pipes) does five or so new model 'drops' that I'm interested in, but ... they tell us where and when it's going to happen, and you sit by your computer and refresh until it hits. If you're diligent you get one. Yeah, the bots get a lot more, but there's nothing we can do about it.Stagg3r wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 9:57 amThis is exactly why people get mad at flippers. It is hard for people that want one to get, in part, because people that have no intention to use or keep them buy several just to resell for a profit. Same thing as ticket scalpers. There is nothing "convenient" about it. They add inconvenience to the process and tax you for it.
Now, if they want to sell it at cost, sure, that can be helping fellow travelers. If someone picks up 2 copies of a sprint run with the intent to keep one and offer the other back to the community at cost, that is great. You should do that on a site that allows it and everything is in the open though.
But I really like your comment: "if someone picks up 2 copies of a sprint run with the intent to keep one and offer the other back to the community at cost, that is great." That's exactly what a few of us do each year on the pipe drops. We wait for the complaints the next morning from people who fell asleep or had to work, and we send any extras out at our cost. It's a perfect system for our community.

Why did you even bother to revive this thread?!?
The OP either was scared away from the criticisms of him being a flipper or he was a troll to begin with. There's nothing left to be said. A couple members here already offered him solutions regarding his "QC issue."

Because in the first place, we did not even find out what the QC issue was to begin with - so that if some of us has an experience with that particular issue, maybe we could have helped. And that's what we try to do here, try to help each other as a community. We did not even bother to find out if his issue was legitimate or not.
Seriously, I think this forum could use some consistency. Me and a few others have complained about flipping and flippers throughout the years, yet have been met with rebuffs and indifference. Yet here comes a "flipper" whom many folks have not even bothered to seriously check the legitimacy of his concern, and suddenly people starts dogpiling on him. I've kept my distance with distaste at the reaction of many members here in this thread, yet many still keep accusing the OP of being a troll or a flipper.
I say, if it doesn't directly come from the OP himself, stop accusing him of being such. And until we hear from him again, it would be best to stop the name calling and accusations and hear out what the QC issue is all about. Some "shiny footprints" we have in this thread right here.

Re: Shaman 15V, Bad QC
It had been a whole three days since the last post. I wouldn't call it a revival after three days. Threads much older get "revived", and the reason is not usually questioned. There is no reason to here.

Actually I work about 75 hours a week most of the time. It doesn't take hours out of the day to make a post on a forum, or even several. People who work do take breaks and lunches. It's not like we're all on dialup and have to sit for a half hour waiting for a connection.

Sorry did not mean it that way as well. Was just surprised as my posts were initially delayed for a few minutes to a few hours for moderating purpose. It seems i got unleashed about 2 days ago.
Hope you enjoy it here.
