Hey Rock that is a good pic of one of my personal all time favs ( The Harpy). I got my 3rd PE Merlin in the mail today from a trade I did last week. I also agree with an earlier statement you made a page or 2 ago about hoarding up Hawkbills. I have been doing that with the Dyad model for quite a while now with very profitable results. It is funny that a year ago you could have bought all the Spyderhawks ( PE & SE) you wanted last year on Ebay and probably not pay more than $55 for the SE and about $65 for the PE versions  . I do predict that this newest Carbon Fiber Harpy will be an instant classic. I bet you will be able to double in less than a year. Yes!! This thread is the catalyst for a Hawkbill boom. It's not any prognostication of mine because the proof is already in the pudding. All because of the Forum brothers/sisters that themselves are making happen on a daily basis. ;) :spyder:

Post 300.. Woohoo! :D

I'm curious how many people have became addicted to hawkbills due to this thread?

I have always been a fan....Seems like I want something more when I can't have it. :)

WEll Rock if anyone deserved to put up the 300th post I think you were up in the top tier for sure. With all the really thought provoking posts you have put up in the last 2 weeks I think it is so appropriate that you did 3-0-0 post.
Well Rock where should we set the ultimate goal >>> 500 maybe? ;) :spyder:

500? Not sure... might be pushing it. But we have a goal now. :)

Until a PE hawkbill in FRN or G10 hits my hand.. This thread must go on.... ;)

I hate to admit it, but the reason I picked up my first :spyder: hawkbill was from seeing Locke's on the television show Lost. That first Harpy put me on the downward spiral. Then this thread came along.

Now I've got two SE Harpies (ATS55 and VG10), a G-10 Harpy, two SE Merlins, a PE Merlin, a SE Spyderhawk, PE Crossbill, and a Matriarch. All I want is the new CF Harpy. And a PE blue Spyderhawk. And one of the elusive PE Harpies.

I'm doomed!!!!! :D

Methinks we might have to have a separate part of the forums, just for HawkLovers.... :)
1 General Discussion
2 Off Topic
AND....
3 Hawks and All... :)

Alright... I think I got it....

Para-Military frame (or close to) Black or Green G10.. With a 4" inch S30V or ZDP-189 hawkbill...a Red bug on the blade (like the current para has.. but red :) ).. 14mm :spyder: hole....and a 4-way clip....

She'd be a monster. :)

Ooooo baby!!! :D

That sounds intriguing. I think I'll just sit back, let you guys do all the work of getting a new hawkbill made, and than reap the benefits :D

Keep it up guys, I'm looking forward to this.

My Friend,

I have it on very good authority that pictures of the Tasman and a review will be available very soon; probably sometime next week... ;)

oooooo! excellent news!!!! any chance of a super-unexpected-stealth release within the next couple days? (yea right!)

it would be an excellent work knife for the stuff i'll be doing with my new job in africa... but sadly, i'll miss the release by a month or so.

i'll have to get someone in my family to get it when it comes out, and try to mail it to me. 5 months for shipping, plus rather unreliable postal service. insurance not available. oof.

viva la hawkbill thread!!!!!!!!!!!!
