Yes we are told what designs we can talk about because those get grey name tags all other that need to remain top secret have red tags. And no note taking of any kind is forbidden.
The rest i’m afraid is also forbidden i think. And since i love the meet i am not going to risk getting on a bad foot with Spyderco.
But i did want to comfort people by telling the meet was normal in size because i indeed remember that Wouter was able to post way more pics in the past then he can this year. So i just want to save you guys from panic attacks. :zany
Thank you, much appreciated! Those are relatively small details about the Amsterdam Meet in general but having never attended one myself, I find it fascinating to learn about it anyway I can. Now I know it’s those pesky red tag items that are ultimately going to tempt me into attending this meet one year! A vacation in Amsterdam doesn’t sound half bad either though.

Cool.
I cant wait for Sprints and Exclusives of the Military 2 and the Native Chief ltwt.

I will definitely get a manbug leaf.

Pm2 salt seems interesting. I will probably go for it as my first magnacut knife.

Now here is what I am really excited about even though it is speculation. I still luckily spend a lot of time at the beach. I have pretty much already formed the opinion that the perfect salt for boardshorts would be something like a lil native lightweight backlock salt. Now that there is a lil native ltwt backlock, it would seem that there will almost certainly be a salt following soon. Ill be in for a couple.

ALSO they fixed my biggest complaint on the lil native with this new lightweight. They gave it jimping! Cant wait for a salt version.

Amsterdam is very nice for a vacation. But in the city itself is a zero tolerance for knives so do not bring anything you can not afford to loose... :rofl

I heard that attendees were forbidden to even think about the knives they'd seen, once they left the room at A'dam.

Apollo, I hope you stop thinking about them!

Thinking is as far as i know allowed :zany how else can i think up a long term savings plan to buy the ones i want? :squinting-tongue (Do not think Sal or Eric mind me planning to give them my money :rofl )

But honestly this show did not have anything that was so true love at first sight for me personally like the meets with the Rubicon or Nirvana from the past. Those 2 stayed in my dreams for months!

Those were indeed the good old days.
I hope to see those days return one day.
They still have everything needed to do it.
But there attention just shifted to another reality. And eventough they still make the best out there for me . Personally i feel they could do even better then what they are currently doing. ( take this as something positive not negative )

I do remember attending the meet but that's all. I think this guy is to blame.

Am I just seeing this or is the Military 2 pivot screw bigger than the Para 2?

P2 on left, M2 on right.

I recall reading once that the Military pivot was "enlarged" at some point during its life as CQI, obviously to ensure further rigidity and robustness when locked for a blade of its size. I would not be shocked to hear validation from sal or Co. confirming your suspicion. Makes sense anyhow, especially after reading that the Chief LW has had some extra engineering input to its lock (which I'll speculate is partly a "pivotal" update, as well).

I'm in for the Chief LW, as I expressed outward interest many moons ago if this iteration would ever see the light of day. Honestly seems a bit late for how well received the model has been, however it is great to see it becoming a reality; hopefully soon. Only wish is that it would have followed the supposed "thinnening" of the Lil Native LW, being released in a thinner blade stock. Looks like if the specs are correct, that isn't even the case for the LNLW, anyway.

On another note, it was announced that the LNLW was supposed to follow suit amongst the Chief LW and feature BD1N as the base model steel, so this is yet another deviation from the "soft reveal" (and another let down for me, if true).
