Trying out the Yojimbo 2 to compare to the Canis.

I’d be interested in your thoughts. Those are some unique knives. Probably not for me, but I’m always curious about niche knives.
Canis I have had for a while now and like it for work. Yojimbo is only a few hours old. Fit and finish wise it is great. Size is good and I think will be better for regular use than my YojUmbo.
The first thing I noticed though when holding it was the clip, I can really feel it, I can with the YojUmbo as well but this more so. I’m pretty sure the points of the finger scallops will be getting sanded down at some stage. Centering is a bit off as it was with the YojUmbo though nothing to complain about. The size of the thumb hole is much more preferable on the yojimbo 2 compared to the huge diameter on the YojUmbo.
Overall positive first impressions.

A bit hard to tell on my crappy cellphone screen, but do I see a nice, coarse edge here Rick?
Yep, one of my most coarse finished knives. Left this one at 320 grit. That 4V feels/works great with this coarse finish!

That's a killer edge, what grit finish? Looks coarse...which I personally love.
Main edge bevel is finished to 400 grit, microbevel finished at 1000 grit, then stropped with 1 micron diamond.
What angle it is? Look about 15 deg. per side, or lower.

I got it last October when it was on sale for ~$100. It's my first Manix. Wish I would have tried one a long time ago, it's a great model!

Less than 15 dps, but I sharpen freehand so I'm not sure exactly what angle. And there is definitely a microbevel, it's needed with this thin of an edge bevel for a more durable edge.
