What Knife Gets Carried Most?

#1

Post by ront »

Forgive me if this has been asked before. I don't see it. I am just wondering what Spyderco you guys carry most in your pocket. What knife sees the most use day after day?

Thanks Ron

It used to be my FRN Delica SE.

Now....it will be my new Native I with black blade. :)

I always carry my Spydies along with a Victorinox Super Tinker or Climber. :)

really, what i carry depends on a variety of factors... where i'm going, size limitation laws, what i think i'd need a knife for, whether it's raining outside or not, whether i'm gong to be sweating, whether i'll be cutting around other people, new knives i might have gotten recently that i'm eager to try out...

and i'm pretty much always carrying several knives at once... 2-3 in my pockets, one on my keychain, and 3-4 more in my bag.

but my EDC flagship has been the mighty manix. it's THE knife for me!

Waved Endura left front pocket, Black Dodo PE right rear pocket. Gunting S30V PE in waist band, left side.

The Dodo stays home when I'm not at work though, no need for a box cutter on steroids when theres no boxes to cut.

As for most use, the Dodo cuts boxes 5 days a week, the Waved Endura is the general utility knive, which in my job means it opens envelopes, and cuts any thing I won't dare to cut with S30V (the VG10 doesn't chip as much for me on hard materials)

The Gunting is there for entertainment(mmm kinetic opening on my boss....sorry just daydreaming). Hopefully I'll never need to use it for real, as its the SD knife.

Burgundy micarta Jester on key ring gets carried the most, used very little. Stretch gets carried most days during the work week, used for food prep daily. Customized Persian gets carried most on weekends. One or another of my Kiwis rides in my watch pocket for those times where a more discreet cutting tool is required.

Ehm, sorry to disappoint you guys: EKA Swede 88. However, when it comes to Spydies it's a tie between grey Caly Jr and Military, both PE.
