Thanks! I had a D7100 for a while but it just wasn't doing it for me. I considered going mirrorless when I upgraded but I have an interest in wildlife photography and anything mirrorless by Nikon except the Z9 is inadequate by comparison for wildlife based on what I've seen/heard. I have read and seen a lot about the Z6II though, sounds like you got a great camera as well =D

My D7000 is still my most used despite having a couple newer cameras. I do think I'm also going Nikon mirrorless next. But a 105 macro on a D500 looks pretty nice.

mirrorless is so nice. it's really weird to go back to a dslr now.

A thing I really like at the moment:
Spicing up an early morning run with a brief (just 30 to 45 minutes), but intense upper body workout in the callisthenics park.

Another thing I really, REALLY like, and not just at the moment:
The Stretch XL SE. What a knife!!

Yes,man, a truly great knife and also a truly great gift by a guy named "the Giant" I'll be forever grateful for. :smlling-eyes

/ I actually have no idea about gyms (except climbing/bouldering gyms of course)... certainly not a bad idea at all, don't get me wrong, but my thing when it comes to strength training is more climbing, doing all kinds of pull up, push up... variations outdoors and just occasionally a bit of dumbell and/or core training at home.
Anyway, have fun in the gym!

Good choices all around, Rick!

I fell off the photo train 5-10 years ago, but lately I've felt the motivation come back to some degree.
I've brushed the dust of some old companions and jumpstarted the poor old batteries that were totally drained.
It's truly antiquated gear compared with the stuff you can get today, but in some way I think that's part of what makes it interesting again. Just takin it slow and see what I can do with my old junk, instead of chasing performance.
Nikon D300S, Nikon 1 and an Olympus OM-D E-M10 (you just got to love those Olympus model designations) is my resurrected lineup. They all seem to work pretty well now, with the exception of some accessories and lens combinations still struggling a bit. If I stay interested for some time, I'll might add something with modern low light performance. Not getting back into action shots though.
