CENTOFANTE!
CENTOFANTE!
Just wanted to show her off. I stole this on ebay not too long ago. I wish I could carry this beauty but I just can’t get myself to do it. Its too perfect. Not scratch on it with a super sharp factory edge. IMO, it’s the most beautiful Spyderco ever produced. Please post your version if you have one.

Your pics don´t show up for me...
But I had a Centofante too, really liked it! If it had a blade in ffg (which I prefer in longer blades) I would probably still own it.

Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):

I also can't see the pics.
There have been some crazy good bargains on eBay recently.

Re: CENTOFANTE!
Wow, much better looking than mine. Still, heck of a knife for what I paid!
Re: CENTOFANTE!
Did someone say, beautiful Centofante?
But before I purchased that one (from the man, himself), this one was already in my EDC rotation:

I love everything about my Centofante 3. I'm on my 3rd one as I gifted my first 2 to others. I'd love to see an updated Centofante, or even a re-release of the 4 Wharnie. People have brought this idea up many times over the years on this forum, but it just never seems to catch fire. Such a shame...

And I try to push this along every time I can. Would love a Centofante 4 and think it would do well. Question for you Olywa, when you say updated, what would you like to see? What kind of changes would constitute an update? Steel I could see. Handle material?olywa wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 4:24 pmI love everything about my Centofante 3. Re: CENTOFANTE!
I've thought about this a few times. I like the smooth FRN but would like to see it in Forest Green or Maroon with a copper Spyder. How about copper pins as well? Either the 3 or the 4 dressed this way would put a smile on my face. Plus the current Centofante 3 remains a price/performance leader and a great value from my perspective. So the update could stay reasonably priced pending the steel choice. Smells like a rose no matter which way the wind blows.Bemo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 7:04 pmAnd I try to push this along every time I can. Would love a Centofante 4 and think it would do well. I'd be in for an updated Centofante 4 wharnie.

Re: CENTOFANTE!
How long has the Centofante been a stable part of the Spyderco catalog? I always wondered why such a gentlemans folder stayed in the catalog unlike other models? I don't think sales are enormous compared with other models. I like the Centofante myself i just wonder why it's retained by Spyderco for so long. Or am i missing something?
Re: CENTOFANTE!
I believe his family still gets royalties from his design. I think Spyderco wanted to keep that going.

Re: CENTOFANTE!
Bring back the wharnie ! Wharnies are getting more and more traction these days(people evolve) so I am quite sure it will sell well enough. Throw the SPY27 steel and some blue cobalt smooth frn in the mix and we have a winner for sure.
