I almost bought a blacked out S30v Manix 2 for that exact purpose. When it was on sale.

thanks, yes it is definitely a looker! I was also really surprised at the weight savings compared to the stock g-10 and steel liners

I’ll second that, very nicely customized! How is the texture on those scales?

Looks good. What are the colours for the Flytanium cage and MXG clip?
I’m also interested in the texturing.
I might need to go with Sniper Grey!

I just discovered a really simple modification. I took the clip off to try to round the edge where I rest my fingers when closing it and when I put it back on, I discovered you can angle the clip much further toward the spine. I get a lot better grip on the knife when trying to release the lock now, so I'm no longer having issues releasing the lock when my hands are slippery.

Manix 2 in CPM-20CV
AWT Agent Linerless Scales in Blue Titanium Cerakote
OCD-4-EDC Light Spring Kit
Flytanium Titanium Ball Cage
I've considered grabbing a Magnacut Manix LW when it comes out and blade swapping, and then do the dual-grit sharpening method from The Home Slice, but I'm incredibly happy with 20CV.

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
I just finished a Manix 2 build this morning with Rockscale Ti scales, Flytainium ball cage, ceramic ball, Flytainium lanyard tube, and MXG Ti clip. One thing I did was install a light spring but it was so weak that the knife could be shaken open due to the light detent. I assembled, worked on the centering and action, and then realized that the spring was too weak. Good news is I was able to swap the spring back to the original by taking off one scale and the leading screw for the ball cage retainer. With my other burple Manix I have noticed that the action improves over time. One good thing is the Ti ball cage has better grip so unlocking is improved.

I made some 3d printed scales for my S110V Manix 2 but they're not tough enough. I dropped it the other day on concrete and it cracked around the lock. If they where printed in nylon they would be fine. I really want to get some lw scales cnc carved out of wood.

Quick question: It looks like it has scales, but you state you are using AWT Agent Linerless Scales. What gives? Is that a trick of the lighting?
again, That knife looks amazing!!!
Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
i really wish they'd make these with the standard palm swell. i hate all the "skinny" mod scales. i don't get why they would make a handle less hand-filling when it has no effect on the thickness in pocket.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?
It is surprising AWT doesn't have the standard profile too. They have both for the PM2. I am planning on some Agent scales with the standard profile for one of my PM2s. Rockscale Designs has both for the Manix.

I've been eyeing those plain Rockscale non skinny. $106 is a pretty good price, based on the examples I've seen posted.
