Need your help
Hi Sal,
1/ Carry a MeerKat or a Delica. Have a Rescue in my "go bag" which is with me most of the time in case of a call out.
2/ Everything :-) Like every one else it seams cutting open packaging, my lunch. The Rescue is used for what it was made for. Mainly in my case that means rope and slings. USAR rescue guide lines say that I have to have a knife as part of my kit.
3/ Was given my first knife at age 8.
Hope this helps. The rescue has got me out of a sticky situation of two. If there is anything I can do to help just ask.

I generally carry a 5.5" folder. 3.5" at work
I carried a pocket knife on and off since I was a kid around 8 years old, that lasted about 14 years. I began carrying daily when I was 22. 16 years of daily carry and still carrying one.
I use it for general purposes, cutting envelopes, boxes, rope, cloth, sharpenig a pencil. It is also there for emergency siuations. Hasn't been used in that capacity, yet.

1) I carry a one-handed folder daily plus a fixed-blade knife.
My Folder is a Chris Reeve Sebenza 98/100 days with a blade length of 3.5 inches
Prior to my Seb, I carried a Spyderco Endura with a blade approximately 3.5 inches 98/100 days from 1992-2002.
2) I carry my folding knife for general utility purposes as well as personal security and defensive use.
My fixed blade fits into the same role. I prefer the fixed blade becuase of its ease in deployment as well as its superior reliability when deployed.
My Enduras were generally serrated, my Sebenza plain edge.
3) I was 10 when I began to carry every day. I am now 35 years of age.

(1) 3 inches and 4 inches; sometimes shorter blades too. (2) Utility and as emergency safety equipment. (3) Age 15 at the latest; in my high school agriculture class, it was expected than for students to have a pocket knife. (I am 42 now.) Sal, I am not intimidated by high-dollar lawyers, have 20 years in big-city law enforcement, and if there is anything I can do to help, let me know.
1. I prefer larger knives i.e. Military.
2. Food prep., emergency, sportsfishing, outdoor, utility 'round home.
3. My grandfather gave me a small folder (shaped as a fish) at the age of 6 (?). I did not, however, start to carry a knife on regular basis until 1994.
Good luck Sal!
