Nice work! I really like it.
I've made 6 or 7 belts for myself, but never out of leather. That leather is very impressive.

Indeed! That's what I was going to originally choose, as you can see by the hint of brass chicago screw flair. But this belt is going to be worn to work also so I needed something subdued.
