My forum knife idea (TPFIC)

#1

Post by thom lambert »

It seems that everytime a specific model is discussed, half the responses are something like, "no, no, what I really want is a 1.5 size calypso with sambar stag on one side of the handle and the circuit boards from the original Apple computer on the other side of the handle, an unobtanium steel blade, a lock that can read my mind, serrations on the front 1/3 of the blade, a 15 degree bevel on the middle and a true chisel grind on the base, and the blade shape from the original katana with a kukri shaped tip". Sal must cringe every time something specific is reccomended.

So, here it is, my "please everyone" forum knife:
- 2 slabs of white g10
-an unground billet of S30V
-a mix of permanent markers (really nice ones to colour the g10)
-several files
-lots of band aids

What do you think, should I put a poll up? :p

Only if you add a can of flat black spray paint to please those bent on a coated blade. ;) Then again, why S30V, I'd really prefer Damasteel. :D

And some nuts and bolts for assembling the knife. ;)

You are right on here but I think that it is mainly one or two people that keep screwing up the forum knife threads.
If you hate the knife and will not buy one then why are they voteing on it.

I think you forgot the instructions for the files and permanent markers so no one will get hurt using them when they are assembling their knife ... ;)

thom lambert,
Thank you for some comic relief on the Forum Knife topic.

The Deacon,
How does black Damasteel look? (as I'm shaking my can o' Krylon) :D

LOL, thanks for the comic reliefe Mr. Lambert.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Well, if the markers had really fine tips, you could create your own damasteel: raindrop, ladder, chain, combination of all three (to go with the 3 different edge profiles!).
