DMT extra extra coarse

Anyone use the XX coarse DMT? I just got one and I was surprised about the sparseness of diamonds. The diamonds don’t fill the whole surface but it is mostly non diamonds. It seems to remove steel well though.

Used one of those as my first major reprofile job stone for a few years, and yeah it's more like a gravel road than a sharpening stones. I currently use the Atoma 140 for major reprofile work and it's kind of the same thing. I think that's just how very coarse diamond stones are by nature.

What do you mean by it's non diamonds?

I've had much better results with the Atoma 140 than the DMT XX Coarse. The DMT wears out faster.

The diamonds are not contiguous without gap
