Lol, yall know I HATE artificial turf.
Well, looks like it has cost Mike Williams of the Chargers big time. I would imagine he will be out the rest of the season. With as much money as the NFL makes - looks to me that natural grass/turf could be made mandatory.
I really hope this Williams injury causes this to happen.
I think that would be a good change too. Real grass would be difficult to maintain at some of the outdoor stadiums in the winter but it’s certainly an expense these owners can afford. Especially if it ends up preventing some injuries that artificial turf sometimes causes. It’s just further protection for the players.

There were rumblings about Gillette Stadium potentially hosting some World Cup matches in 2026 and Kraft said something about being willing to real grass in preparation for those matches. Then said it would likely be a permanent switch. I’d love to see them switch it sooner though.

That would be great Nick. If Mr. Kraft does it, then maybe, just maybe, especially with this Mike Williams injury and all the big talk about player safety - hopefully everyone else will fall in line.

Watching Tua dive head first for extra yardage definitely got my heart rate up a bit last night. You know those defenders have to be thinking about it a too, being so soon after.

I thought the same thing! Those are the exact type of scenarios he needs to keep himself out of. He even said it himself during an on-field interview after the game. Said something like they need to go back to the drawing board to figure how to avoid those hits…

Put Tua in a baby bjorn on your tallest strongest player’s chest and teach the center to snap it about 6ft high. Install a quick release buckle in case Tua needs to run for a first down.

Can’t believe how bad the Patriots defense has looked in this game. Infuriating to watch Justin Fields walk all over them.

He looks like Lamar Jackson against this Patriots defense. My only advice is just know that when the bears get the ball on offense, they WILL be scoring.

Calling this Patriots defensive performance trash would be an insult to trash.

The Pats will bounce back Nick. They just had a bad game man. You still got the man for HC.
At least I really think they will.
Gotta admit though, I feel asleep before halftime. I see the Pats had 4 turnovers. Zappe threw 2 pics. Did Jones throw 2 pics as well?
Who would you like as QB 1 Nick?

Kind of fearing for the Cowboys facing the Bears now. Man the NFC is so awful this year. Only like 5 teams have winning records and 3 of them are NFC east lol.

Normally I like to have a “homer” level of confidence and optimism but that entire performance last night, from the WHOLE team, against one of the worst offenses in the league drastically changed how I view this team and what they’re capable of. I genuinely can’t give them an honest chance against a single team left on their schedule. I wish I didn’t mean that but I do. They played that abysmally last night. :vomit

Zappe had a fumble on a handoff to Jakobi Meyers, although the fumble is probably accredited to Meyers.

If I’m being honest, I don’t think either QB is the answer. Especially with Belichick as head coach and GM, because he refuses to pay a player more money than he himself makes. That means no elite playmakers until they’re in their final couple years and will take a vet minimum. That said, I would much rather have Mac Jones in at QB because he can at least see over the line of scrimmage. Zappe had more balls batted down or tipped at the line of scrimmage in this game than I’ve ever seen, ever.

Wow! I did not realize that about Belichick!
Nick, that's a fatal error on his part...it's insane.
I dunno what else to say man.
Except maybe Belichick needs come on down off his high horse & go get a QB. ( and, of course, pay him accordingly no matter what Belichick himself makes, lol....thats crazy)

I don't think you have much to worry about. This is coming from a Bears fan. I'm always hopeful we'll win but I've been hurt too many times haha

We'll be a house divided on Sunday. Cowboys fan on one end of the sofa and a Bears fan on the other

I’ll never forget the 2013 game when the bears beat the brakes off the cowboys…

Hearing the Giants are showing interest in Jerry Jeudy. That would be a big move for us, and show they in it to win it this year! If Kadarius Toney could ever get it together, with our 1st round pick Robinson this year and potentially Jeudy...that's 3 guys with a lot of speed/quickness. I doubt it though, with the monster contract their eating for Kenny Golladay, who doesn't even play!

Oh wow! So very cool that it's a sellout in Germany!
I want to ask, if you had your choice of teams to come to Germany next season, whom would they be?
Hope to see yall on this thread A LOT this season!
