Hi T-1000,

We've got a drawing in process and I'll have a hand made prototype in a few weeks. Some training with anything is better for performance than no training.

nice!

I haven’t done meat testing with a reverse s or hawkbill but I know they punch through cardboard with little effort.

Fun to see a trainer in the works. Not my thing but Spyderco always delivers when a need is present.

Dr Lecter did testing slicing and penetration testing on a " meat sleeve " a few years ago with different blade profiles. You can still find the data on the forum. There is a YouTube film about the cuts the reverse S makes on a meat sleeve as well. Iirc the non serrated wharncliffe blade profile was the best slicer and stabber in the tests.

Hey T-1000,

Are you looking for a trainer for the regular Martiarch 2 or one with the Emerson opener?

Well sir if I had the luxury of choosing I would go for the emerson opener since that's the one I carry.

What's the word on the street regarding that epic Matriarch trainer? If these became available in both waved and regular that would be a easy doubledip for me.
