Carried my regular fishing companion today, not the most clear Smock photo I ever took but the scenery makes up for it.

Absolutely. Very jealous of your fall foliage - everything is either green or brown here most of the year.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

that stonewash looks so good. i know yours is custom, but i wish spyderco would offer more models with it.
I agree, Spyderco does need to give the stonewash treatment to more knives.

I put off buying a Shaman hoping for a sprint run color combo I liked. When Cutlery Shop dropped the orange G-10 Shaman with a stonewashed CTS-XHP blade I pulled the trigger. I don’t really care either way about orange G-10 or CTS-XHP both are fine… The thing that sold me was the uniqueness of the stonewashed blade.

Wow, I love this, I think it would be great if it was still in production.

I'd love to see a close up of the blade. Particularly the point. How'd it fare?

May your feet be warm and dry and your throat warm with whiskey. A knife in hand or in the sock band.

Thanks! It's one of my favorite models. I hope the company does a Domino sprint run in the future.

Out with the family and tried some "bushcraft" with the K390 Endura.
I already had it @ 13 dps, and it made some scary sounds during the process.
Went home and indeed there were some micro chips and it was catching papers at few spots.
Used Sharpmaker brown/white rods @ 15 dps, and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to add those microbevels and got rid of smaller chips. After stropping it's good to go!
