Thoughts to share;

The old Shaman was teaching the children of the tribe. He said to the children; inside of every person, there is a war going on between two wolves.

One wolf is for anger, disharmony, discontentment and dominance.

The other wolf is for harmony, contentment, hope and love.

One of the children asked the shaman; which wolf wins? The Shaman said; the one you feed.

It has been quite a while since I heard this one. Chief Wallace Black Elk in person at a sweat lodge oh about 35 years ago give or take.

Always good to be reminded, thank you. _/\_

Wise words, Sal.

Also, I think we need a 2 wolf shaman sprint now. One side is black g10, the other white g10 with a wolf paw inlay or etching on the blade.

That is a cool concept, so I humbly suggest that the visual motif could be a wolf’s carnassial tooth. Carnassials are the big teeth in the back of a dog’s mouth that they use to shear food apart.
That’s just because I like osteology, though. The paws might be easier and more aesthetically popular. Don’t mean to derail anything too much here. I might feed the curiosity wolf a little too much sometimes haha!

Can we get that but with Natural Canvas Micarta and Green Canvas Micarta instead? And maybe a K390 blade?

Also willing to accept Black Canvas Micarta + Green Canvas Micarta. :smlling-eyes

I vote paws over teeth.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Haven't owned a Shaman and I don't think it is for me, but I really like the idea of the 2-Wolf sprint. Stories behind an object make the object more appealing in my opinion.

I don't have a Shaman either. But one that comes with a story is a sure thing!

True words indeed. I seem to remember hearing something similar before...

"Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial."
"A knifeless man is a lifeless man."

Nice story, Sal!

When I read Shaman I immediately had the knife visible in my mind. :)

One side should be black (BLADE and handle) the other gray/brown zome with uncoated blade.
That would be quite unique...

Yeah sorry… I brought it off topic with the suggestion for the wolf shaman. It immediately popped into my head when I was reading Sal’s original post, picturing the Chaparral sun and moon with a similar theme as inspiration. I should have brought it up in a separate thread though since this one is getting hijacked.

Hi Freediver,

I don't think a thread like this can be hijacked? It's just a "thoughts to share" thread. That's what you are doing.

I'm not hating! I was just browsing through the first page deciphering the meaning and then I'm seeing all these ideas for a Shaman model haha!
