Thank you! Easy mod, you don't even have to remove the lanyard tube.
Nice knife! But question what is so hard about reloving the lanyard tube?
I have few modded pm2's with custom scales myself and have never had any problems with the tubes is this maybe a recent problem?

I remember years ago when I replaced PM2 scales, the lanyard tube was flared into the G10 and liner, and was difficult to disassemble. I had to flare the tube again during reassembly.

On second thought, perhaps that was a Manix. I cannot remember anymore... :thinking

It could indeed be the Manix. I customize those regularly and the tube always gives a good amount of resistance. :squinting-tongue

My BHQ Para3 was rather difficult to get apart to chance the scales. I didn’t reuse the lanyard tube, I got a cool ano blue ti one instead.

I didn't do these modifications all at once. I removed the 2nd detent ball and heat anodized my clip the day I got the knife. I ordered the Lynch clip after about 1 day of carry and decided to swap out the SS bearings for ceramic at the same time. Despite using ceramic bearings and having 3 more in each cage, I didn't notice any perceivable change in action but it seems like the blade must be moving faster because the knife sounds much more solid when it fully engages and locks up now. The action was already great before I changed so I didn't expect much if any improvement, I mostly swapped them out for the added corrosion and wear resistance. The newest addition is the linen micarta scales which I just put on yesterday and am quite happy with despite having to do some slight finish work on them around the edges.

I said earlier and will again , really like the scales . I have been thinking of switching mine out for a Winter project. I liked the deletion of the holes . I’m considering a burlap . Dan

Thanks again Dan! Burlap would be my next choice and I considered it, I saw a Smock with burlap someone else on here has and it looks great! Those long straight lines in the burlap look really good with the straight lines of the Smock design. I went with linen because I know I like how that feels, I've never seen burlap micarta in person so I'm not sure how I'd like the feel. I look forward to seeing what you get, if I ever get the chance to buy a Smock exclusive I like I will try burlap.

Got a Lil Temperance 3 somewhat recently and loved it except for the factory pocket clip. I couldn't find a solution for a deep carry clip on this knife after searching the interweb for a few days. Contacted LynchNW and MXG gear but both replied they don't have a Lil Temperance 3. Next closest clip I thought might fit was the one on the Native 5 LW (which both Lynch and MXG make a deep carry version of), but according to Casey Lynch and MXG, the hole spacing was different on their Native 5 LW clips compared to what I measured on the LT3 :disappointed. Saw an older post on here about a guy asking basically the same thing I was looking for, but he never reported back what solution he found if any. If there was/is a solution out there, I couldn't find it and unfortunately the LT3 clip seemed to be unique among all the current Spyderco models.

Anyway, always been a DIY type person though, so here we go. Designed and 3D printed a little adapter so I can use the deep carry wire clip on my Lil Temperance 3 and made good use of the useless (to me) lanyard hole. The knife now sits much deeper in the pocket and isn't as obvious compared to the factory clip. The wire clip unfortunately isn't long enough to sit in the little circular relief on the scales, but not a big deal to me since I won't see it in my pocket anyway. I also designed another wire clip adapter for my Para 3 just for fun, but already had a Lynch clip for it since I dislike that factory clip even more than the one on the LT3 ;) . Well, just thought I'd share.

Cheers
