Caved and ordered a plain edge. Such a strange and fascinating design, I held out long as I could. The story of this knife coming to be has made it seem well worth trying one out, kind of a miracle they are in the wild. And it has been made with some excellent material choices. And the photos of the very neatly made internals. Yeah, couldn't resist any more.
Because desolate places allow us to breathe. And most people don't even know they're out of breath.

Just come by to see if JD Spydo has shut up about this knife yet.

No he hasn’t?

Fair enough. Haha!

(Blades Canada has added the Ayoob to their “Coming Soon” section. This bodes well for me but not my wallet.)

Has DLT or REC already received their shipments of Ayoobs? My funds went to the REC Manix but I still have some store points left on those two shops, I might be able to use them to get one of these.

I don't shop at REC, but I've been checking DLT every day for the Ayoob since Spyderco announced they were shipping to dealers. I haven't spotted them there yet, unless they came and went so fast because of the time difference that I completeely missed them.

Hey BRO it ain't gonna be any time soon either :beaming-face But it's all good and so far most of the folks that have joined this party are enjoying their new C-60 Sprint Run that they just recently bought.

But we're glad to have you aboard and please let us know when you get your own C-60 Sprint Run.. And I do recommend getting one ASAP. Because they do seem to be selling like floor seats to a Rolling Stones concert. To be honest they are selling considerably faster than I had anticipated.

My serrated edge came today and I am a little disappointed mine came with the uneven grind. Everything else about the knife is great. I havent decided if Im going to keep it or send it back. Im leaning on a return and maybe try and get another.

Anybody know where they are in stock? I checked the usual spots and came up empty.

Thanks, I really hope DLT still has both Ayoobs incoming and that they will have more stocks compared to others. That store has been my go-to for the rewards system and fast shipping.

Yeah this is getting to be like playing a vinyl LP record album with a scratch on it. Just keep hearing this over and over.

You would think that Sales would be slowing down or tapering off by now. This C-60 Sprint Run is doing somewhat better than I even expected with positive expectations. I just hope everyone here at Spyderville that sincerely wants one is able to get one.

I can't thank all you guys here on the Forum enough for helping to make all of this happen. This has truly been a great project for all involved and I hope we can repeat it at some point.

A few questions to owners of the Ayoob, this and older ones.

Why “SEKI-CITY” on this sprint and not just the Moki-signaling “Japan”?

Does the saber-grind on this sprint, which enhances SD capabilities, narrow the more general-use that the hollow-grind offered earlier Ayoobs?

How do these two Ayoob grinds compare BTE?

I have a bad feeling I will wind up with a second one. It really has grown on me that much. I blame you JD for this. Thanks for what you did on a knife I didn't even know I wanted.

Me SE has been in my pocket every day since arriving. Yesterday while I was doing some pool maintenance, it was out of my pocket. (That’s how it always happens)…

Dropped the knife on my concrete patio. Knife came out fine, but my Lynch clip exploded clean off. I found 2/3 screws this morning. :/.

There’s not a lot of thread there to work with. May have to go back to the stock clip. I sure was enjoying the blue ano with the gray G10.

Yes I will take full responsibility for taking an older model with mediocre sales the first time around and with all the help I was able to get from the Spyderville community it has now become a box office sensation>> but I will take responsibility for spear-heading this most intriguing project.

So what is my punishment going to be? The reason you didn't know that you wanted it is simple. The C-60 Ayoob was "Truly Ahead Of It's time". I'm willing to bet that if it went into full production again they wouldn't have a problem selling it.

While checking out my recovered screws, I thought the peel-ply G10 looked pretty cool under the 22x loupe:

I’ve been curious about the SEKI-CITY vs. just the Japan stamping also? Great question.

Your punishment is to get another knife produced that I, and everyone else, do not know I(we) want yet. ;)

Well if you've been watching that other thread I've got going on which GOLDEN ERA classic should be next for a Sprint Run then you'll see we are probably down to the JD Smith, C-54 Calypso or a spiced up version of the ROOKIE model. There are about 2 to 3 other models that are chatting about on that thread as well. I'm hard at work on the next possibility of a Sprint Run from the GOLDEN ERA. I just hope we can convince Mr. Glesser that more GOLDEN ERA models should be Sprint Runs with newer/better materials.

Believe me my heart is in the right place but these projects do take a while as you can see. I'm probably leaning on the JD Smith model at this point.

Like all my new knifes. Anyone else accidently cut themselves as well? I closed the tip of my finger in the knife lol. Cut me right under the nail.

If we spent as much time trying as we do doubting, we might have already accomplished it.
