Glad some forum members were able to get one. Someone owes me a virtual high five for not even attempting to get one. 😉✋

Got one, hopefully my order goes through. After not buying a new knife for almost a year, I splurged on the 204p shaman, this, and the 20cv knifecenter griptilian this week. Lots of 20cv coming my way 😀

That was the single smoothest drop I’ve ever experienced. Got in at 3…checked out by 3:02 without incident.

Dealers: take notice. Whatever REC’s doing, it’s working quite nicely
I disagree. I didn’t try to get one of these but personally, I think a drop should last longer than 4 minutes. I can think of other dealers, like DLT, that drop an exclusive that stays in stock long enough that most people who were interested are able to get one. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want any dealer to sit on inventory either. I know it’s a lot of money. I just think selling out in 4 minutes leads to a lot of people missing out. A buddy of mine told me that the REC website didn’t load his saved credit card info like it normally does. By the time he typed in his card number, the knife that was in his cart had been sold. He was fine with that but a little disappointed. He knew these would sell fast though.

Congrats to everyone who got one. If they do this in an XL, I might try to get one.

I got one, my 1st REC and purchase from them. It was posted 800 was available. Cell phone service, no hiccup from their server.

It didn't load my saved payment info either. But this isn't my first drop 🤣

I was ready with card in hand.

I DID read some posts from people on insta who had problems with the site and couldn't get one. Maybe they can't afford a larger order, they are a small business, but if they can next time they should place a larger order.

Then again, it might be the scarcity helping to drive sales? I'm sure flippers were all over this one. I don't know where the balance lies that they make a good profit and people get the knives they want.

I’m really glad you got one! That’s awesome. 👍

You made some good points. I forgot to mention that I was glad to see that they tried to slow down the flippers by placing a limit of one per household.

You’re right, that might have been all they were able to order and it’s obviously a popular model. It’s clearly a popular steel and color combo too.

When I said I disagreed with other dealers needing to take note, I meant that I don’t want other dealers to consider a four minute drop as something to always shoot for. I think if a knife sticks around for a few hours, or even a day or two, it’s much more likely for people to be able to get one.

I tried for one, but the website crashes twice on me, and then they were gone. Oh well, more money to go towards a different knife.

First time I got a REc exclusive and I thought it was very smooth. Was 800 enough, who knows. One day it might be and another it won’t be close. With having to order these so long in advance it must be hard to judge the demand. As more are made the demand goes down.

Happy for everyone who got one.

My first order. I did save my payment info when I signed up yesterday. Still asked me to reconfirm all the credit card info.

800 REC manix 2- sold out in minutes.

600 Fradon Lock pm3- sold out in hours.

It's either REC colorway or the manix 2 model that is pushing it. Or both.🤔

I think it has always been a popular colorway. I could be wrong, but that is my guess. Similar to St. Nick's exclusives.

The rumor I read was... they ordered a normal amount (1200?) but only around 800 made it to them. 800 minus whatever they sold at their Grand Opening = how many were available today. That's all hearsay though. 🧂(Insert grain of salt emoji here)

This, along with the fact that the Manix doesn't get as many custom orders as the PM2, Shaman, P3, N5, etc. The blade coating is unique too, setting it apart from standard DLC.

Edit: ^ though if 400 fell off a truck somewhere, that's a big one :anxious
