Just ordered one of these from KW. Almost ordered one of the S90V teal Para 2s but realized those will be available at multiple dealers, and hopefully will be around on my next pay day. The spider bite symptoms may be mild sometimes, but lately has got me buying a lot recently hehe.

Holding strong for my imaginary BentoBox K390 Ranger green.
That will be the most expensive Shaman offered by a dealer. :smirk
You’re absolutely correct. That’s why I have to hold strong. The plus side is their exclusives tend to hang around a bit longer because of that.

I love those scales. Too bad I’ve over spent already.

I agree, those scales look fantastic. I just want those scales alone!

I didn't think it was supposed to ship until today, but mine just arrived. I haven't done any cutting with it yet, but I like the smooth comfort of the scales so far.

I’m gonna pass and I’ll probably regret it. Great combo! Too many Shaman already and too many other hobbies at the moment. Now season starts in six weeks and I gotta be ready.

I have to give it to Spyderco. This knife is perfect. My best Shaman yet. More of a collected piece with how pristine and perfect it is but I will use it and carry it with love

The scales feel quite noticably extra smooth at the contour compared to my other g10 versions. Not sure if mine got extra love or the manufacturing has changed. On the flat of the scale some white from the fiberglass is visible, but I think will likely be much less visible after a little use. The new backspacer design (different internally) that I noticed on the BHQ m4 Micarta version is present. I have perfect centering, no blade play, and the crazy sharp edge I always get straight from the factory. Action is just a tiny bit grindy and tight, but nothing a little breaking in and dissasembly for cleaning, lube, and tuning won't fix. Curious if the pivot hole burr issue may be causing it, but likely won't get to checking that for a good while. I've had better (satin XHP, BHQ Micarta) and worse (rex45, Zwear) brand new shamen, in terms of action, blade play, and centering.

Overall great. If you're on the fence, and this steel makes sense for your use case, I say jump on it.
