Help me choose a photo!

I've had fun doing these kind of posts/polls the past few years. I like to see what everyone else thinks when I can't make up my mind for a photo for the calendar contest.

This year I don't have as many photos as I've carried other brands or modified Spyderco's more frequently than ever, so only a handful of knives to choose from.

Great photos, Rick! It’s good to have so many options but the bad thing is that it makes it that much more difficult to choose just one. I’ve spent nearly 12 hours taking photos for this years calendar contest and I have six different shots that I would be willing to enter. Choosing just one has never been this difficult!

Anyway I think I like number five, Military/Rusty Washers, the most. I would choose either that shot or the first shot, Manbug Wharnie. The only hesitation I have with the first photo is that the focus looks a little high and leaves the blade a tiny bit blurry.

I went with Manbug over Shaman. Both are great pics, but there is a lot of competition for Shaman photos. May even submit one myself.

of these shots, the one i'd most like to look at for a month is the manbug. beautiful colors and a knife that we don't get to see often. plus, it's new and readily available as a production model.

second place for me would be the shaman. you know i'm not a fan of the shaman, but everyone else seems to be and it has a pleasing composition.

all of them are good, but those would be my pics. you might need to double-check your cropping... they're not all the same dimensions, so you might run into trouble again with some of them. just a thought for when you choose.

Great pics, as always Rick! Tough call, but I ended up voting Rusty Millie. Always nice when calendar knives look like they've actually been used at some point

i feel like I should pic the worst one so I have a better chance at winning. But I can't find a bad one...

The flowers with the wharncliffe manbug and the millie with the rusted washers. Both of those have really eye catching color contrast.

Edi: since I only could vote for 1, I voted for the millie because I found the background interestingly different and we see lots of pictures of knives with flora and fauna. Honestly they are all pretty cool.

They are all good, but #1 just edged out #5 for me. It is very close between the two.

Had to vote for #4 the Shaman. I just liked the contrasting colors between the stainless and rust.

I will be in the same boat next year, already started collecting pictures when I go to neat places. Get some weird looks though…

Just need to make sure I have more pictures of my kids than my knife.

This is a good point that I have considered. Pick a less popular model. That may increase your chances at getting selected. They are not going to put a bunch of PM 2 and Para 3s on the calendar.
