Thanks, Doc! Those were great. IMO, that original 1969 - 1970 Scooby-Doo was the only good Scooby-Doo cartoon. There were other Scooby-Doo shows later, but they weren't nearly as good. Some were awful. The only spin-off(?) I thought was fair was this one, from 1972:

We are in 100% agreement on that! Casey Kasem voiced Shaggy. How did he come up with that stoner voice? :grin-squint

Absolutely! A lot of what made Scooby-Doo great was Casey Kasem as Shaggy!

Sanford and Son (1972 - 1977)

Intro:

IMO, the BEST thing about this show was church lady Aunt Esther. I felt mixed about the Fred Sanford character, but the onscreen chemistry between Redd Foxx (as Fred Sanford) and LaWanda Page (as his sister-in-law Esther) was off the charts. Here are a couple compilation videos of only a few of their battles:

I still think “Scooby Doo, Where Are You?” is the greatest cartoon of all time! I like a handful of the series and films that followed too but I still think the original is the best.

My brother and I used to watch her when we lived in Southern California. He even named one of our cats after her. I could have sworn her name was Kelly the Clown, but that must be confusion in my mind with Emmett Kelly.
We had a Hobo Kelly kid show too . This was before color TV though .

I remember Hobo Kelly from seeing bits of it at a friend’s house back in the very early ‘70s or so. There were 5 kids in that family, and the kids would have the TV on in the afternoons after school. I’m fairly certain it was on an L.A. station; possibly Channel 11 at the time.
