Native 5 salt is Magnacut?

I'm a bit lost.... according to the reveal, the new N5 salt will have green handles with lc200n, right ?

So, is the n5 magnacut cancelled ?

My guess is the N5 Magnacut will be a different color...maybe back to yellow, or perhaps bright orange? It is all a bit confusing though...

If I had to guess, Native 5 in LC200N is green now to make it match the other knives in the Salt series (Pacific, Salt, Atlantic, etc.). Yellow will be used for Magnacut going forward.

Just going by the catalog and reveal:
MagnaCut will be yellow, item #C41PYL5 (and #C41SYL5 for serrated)
LC200N will be green, item #C41PGR5 (and #C41SGR5 for serrated)

Same as the Salt's/Pacific Salt's/Atlantic Salt's which were yellow (with hollow grind) for H-1 and green (with full flat grind) for LC200N. The H-1 models of those (yellow and black) are still being made, with new ones being upgraded to H-2 steel, according to the recent Spyderco byte email. So far, only the Native 5 Salt will have a MagnaCut version by what's been announced so far. The only other MagnaCut model announced so far was the Mule Team fixed blade.

I am really surprised to see the Native 5 in LC200N (again). I naively expected, that it would be replaced with the Magnacut.

But apparently, we are going to habe both - Yellow Magnacut and Green LC200N - and on top of that both in PE and SE:

... also apparently at the same price.

Now the question for me is - how to interprete this? Yellow was the color of the H1, then LC200N came along in green or yellow. Now all LC200N salts are green, but Magnacut was kept yellow. Wouldn't it make more sense to change the Magnacut color to a 3rd color since the rust resistance is H1 > LC200N > Magnacut ... just wondering

I personally have calmed down about MagnaCut a while ago. When we learned about the N5 in this steel I was pumped (as with any N5s). But now that it has been several months, I just want a Native 5 in any steel, like before MagnaCut was a thing.

That might be why there's a Rex45 burnt orange N5 on the way...

I like the yellow too though! I really want to see the black blade/hardware with the dayglo handle colors.
