So glad I found my Salt 2! It was “missing”, but I’d stuck it inside a pouch in my life jacket and left it there. Probably where it belongs though.

I sure do! I’ve only lost 2 knives that I can recall; they both came back. The first had fallen into that little bracket that holds the back of my office chair onto the base, and there is sat for a year until I scrounged a second matching chair and got down on the floor to match the adjustments to the scrounged chair. There was my knife with a years accumulation of dust. It was really gross but I was so glad to have found it!

Do you really wear watches every day?
I stopped wearing more than ten years ago. My last watch died and I didn't feel spending money on something, which I do not need.

Yes, I wear a watch every day, and usually a different one all night. I normally carry a knife all day every day and I carry a flashlight most days when I'm out of the house. The watch gets used the most, the flashlight next, and the knife actually the least.

I echo that sentiment. I use my watch and flashlight everyday, but I don't always cut something. Today I did though.

Do you really wear watches every day?
I stopped wearing more than ten years ago. My last watch died and I didn't feel spending money on something, which I do not need.

I started wearing a watch about a year and a half ago after not wearing one for 30 years. I've been finding them useful, even in the age of smart phones.

Started out with an ABC Casio. Found it handy because at work my hands are often too dirty to check my phone. Used it to check the time, time things in the oven, and double check the date. The sensors were nice for mountain hikes, and I started timing runs and bike rides with the stop watch.

Tried a variety of other digital and analog watches and settled on the Casio dw5600 for my work watch. It has all the features I need, is bomb proof, and dirt cheap so no worries about it getting scratched or damaged.

Recently tried out my first smart watch, a garmin. I've found it useful for runs and bike rides. It automatically tracks my route, speed, heart rate, miles travelled, temperature, elevation gain etc. It also lets me use gps maps and listen to music without a phone. It's much handier than manually inputting that info into strava like I used to do. It's also nice being able to record all this data and listen to music on runs without a phone, lightens my load. I can also use it to pay for gas which is kind of cool.

So dumb watch or smart watch or in between ABC style watch, I find them useful.
