UKPK Magnacut?

#1

Post by Doc Dan »

I was wondering if Spyderco would consider the UKPK for Magnacut? The Native 5 Salt is getting it, so replacing the LC200N with Magnacut in the UKPK is not a stretch and would be fantastic.

It would be the logical step IMO, but I guess it would get more expensive (material and especially production).

Logical yes, because it would allow Magnacut to be sold into areas it can not go in a Native 5 due to existing laws.

While I'd love a Magnacut UKPK and would definitely buy one, I'd rather see a super edge holding steel (especially Maxamet, but K390 would be a good option as well) than an Uber-stainless one in the UKPK.

Actually, I think I'd rather have both. :)

I'm sure it's something we'll make in time. I'll watch the thread.

I’d like to see a MagnaCut UKPK but I’d really like the drop blade rather than the leaf. Just my opinion tho I’d buy one either way.

An UKPK in Magnacut? I would buy one.
An UKPK salt in Magnacut? Of course I would buy one.
An UKPK salt SE in Magnacut? Oh, this would be a fine knife.

On the other end, I also would buy a K390 UKPK.

I really really really really wouldn't mind a wharncliffe UKPK existing in the future, salt or not.

Well, you all heard from the man himself. I hope there is enough interest. I sure want one in a Salt format. I am less interested in a drop point. I find the point of the leaf blade too useful.

As Superfool intimated, I wonder what a good color would be? I'd be happy with black, but of course would rather have something in an earth tone...or a true teal.

I hope this becomes a reality. We haven't heard from quite a number of UKPK fans on this forum as yet. I assume they will be happy with this, too.

As someone who lives in the land of the slipjoints I'm buying any UKPK. Scales colour doesn't bother me - there's a big chance I'll change them anyway. 😁
