On a knife like this I would prefer something like S90V or m390 to MagnaCut. I consider m390 the most likely choice (look at SpyOpera)

I agree and would be perfectly happy with M390. Hope no N690 again.

I’d be happy with any midrange steel on this knife. The N690 has been perfectly fine on mine. I’d really like to see it come in below CRK prices.

I'll definitely buy it in m390 (or s90v, or magnacut). I have two in n690, and I really enjoy the design, but I'm unlikely to buy another in n690. Anything that is an 'upgrade' to the n690 will put this into the 'must have' category for me.

I've been using magnacut heavily recently in a 'hard use bordering on abuse' home improvement project (re grouting a shower, which involves a lot of scraping and cutting of gritty materials against ceramic) and so far I'm very impressed with it. I don't think it has the edge holding of m390 or s90v, so in a slip joint I think I'd prefer m390 -> s90v -> s110v (in that order), but magnacut is currently the 'hot new steel' so I'm sure it would sell well.

I passed up a lightly used Blue PITS several times a few years ago in a local shop ~$220. I wish I would have picked it up, and if it had been a superior steel I would have...

Elmax, M390 or Vanax would be welcome Uddeholm steels.
So it goes.

Vanax would be fantastic, but I think the price might be Pie in the Sky High for that variant.

Hey all,

I know updates are usually pretty quick once the info is out there, but just wondered if there was any news on this one.

Are we likely to see it in 2022 @Sal?

One of my biggest laments was when my B&M had a blue PITS not move forever and had it on crazy sale, like $100, and I didn’t grab it. Talk about a world class knife

I've got lots of points saved up at at my favorite (ok maybe second favorite) retailer for the Native LW in magnacut and this or the LW Caly. Patiently waiting.....

So glad these are coming back for another run. They've been on my wanted list for a while. I don't even particularly care what the steel is just give me something from Crucible, Bohler or Carpenter. I would love to see a nice anodized color though.

Hi RandomCarry,

It's in-the-works, I heard this year. It's a really great design, he's a brilliant designer. This is an EDC user. I think you'll like it. Probably the best hard use EDC Slipit ever.

So excited to hear about another run of the PITS! I’ve almost bought one secondary for a pretty penny on several occasions. Glad I waited :)

Thanks for the update. I hope people who don't like slip-its give it a try and that it sells like hotcakes. Excellent design collaboration on this one.

I do have a blue 2nd hand one (need some love in the form of threadlock, as the screws loosened up) and few days ago finally I could put my hands on a bare titanium (brand new, old stock). The design is speaking for itself! Unique! The quality is superb, however there are a lot of really sharp edges everywhere. On the blade as well, just as on the scales. It is not a complaint, more like a side note. Happy to hear, the recent news of the new batch! Looking forward to get one
