it makes me especially antsy knowing that there's at least one of these in existence that they mentioned having multiple times. since we haven't seen the revealed native yet though, i imagine it will probably be in line after that release.

i know i need to be patient. i'm just hoping for more information to help hold me over. i just need a little fix.

Been hoping for a Manix2 LW Salt for years, Magnacut would make it even more exiting!
Same, a Salt LW Manix makes so much sense that I can only assume it hasn't been done because of material limitations. Maybe the type of steel used for springs doesn't hold up in saline environments?
The Autonomy series in LC200n is supposed to have a spring that is rust resistant. You just pour water into the holes to wash out the salt. Maybe the kind of spring matters, since the manic uses a compressing spring, and the Autonomy a rotating type spring that is kinda chunky

If they can source a spring for the Tusk, sourcing one for the Manix should be little trouble. My guess is the reason why we haven’t seen a Manix Salt yet is due to production capacity.

i still want a g10 manix with liners and magnacut, but i'll be happy with a manix lw salt, especially if it has screws and i can put a titanium ball cage in it just for fun.

it hasn't even been officially revealed yet. considering the swick was revealed two years ago now and we're still waiting on some others as well, i'm guessing we should probably settle in for a quite a long wait. it seems to me that the wait times were much shorter before the new reveal system, but maybe i'm wrong and maybe covid delays and wwiii are playing a part in messing up some of those timelines as well.

i can't wait for this knife to come out though. i'm definitely excited about it. i'm just trying not to think about it too much. if you don't already have a m2lw yet, maybe you should just get a bd1n version to hold you over.

I also really want that g10 liner Manix 2 i do not even care on the color of that one.
But if they really need to make it a LW again i can only live with the bright green color they have on the coming native!

they already said it will be yellow like the native. green is going to lc200n and i haven't ever heard talk of that actually happening for the manix.

i carried my magnacut mule today on a hike. i don't really carry fixed blades often, so it's been a while since i used it and it was dull from my initial testing. i gave it no more than 30 passes per side on the sharpmaker brown rods and it was definitely really sharp again. i love how easy it is to touch up and it makes me that much more excited for a manix in magnacut.

give me a lightweight and a g10 manix with and without dlc. i will get all four.

an appeal to spyderco...

if the m2lw salt with magnacut is going to come in a bright yellow, please also consider a blackout version.

reasons:
1. salt or not, this would make an excellent edc blade and lots of people want something more discrete than a large slab of yellow frcp in their pocket and/or hand.
2. when i've had my salts in the water with me, i really prefer a black blade because i always have the nagging thought that a satin blade is like a flashy lure just asking for attention. maybe a yellow handle with a coated blade is a possibility? then you still have high visibility under water without a shiny piece of metal.
3. the blade would look better matching the hardware, which i assume will be coated like it is on other salt models.
4. some people prefer the tactical look of all black (especially when the alternative is yellow) and that's okay.
5. there is a reason there is a blacked out pac salt and salt 2. other salt models would benefit from the same treatment. i'd already have a salt 2 wharncliffe, another df2 salt, and a ukpk salt if i could get them in all black. i understand it might be too much to maintain to do every model in four versions, but i think a magnacut manix is going to draw enough attention to warrant the extra inventory and other popular edc salts would too.

thanks for your consideration. i'll buy a yellow one if that's the only option. if both are available, i'd probably still buy both, but i'd buy the blackout first.

And please make the knife screw construction not pinned. So i can put the blade in a g10 version and still have a handle that is NOT a pile of trash. :squinting-tongue

while i prefer the g10 manix for it's customizability, frcp is not a pile of trash. the m2lw is an outstanding knife. i was hoping for a g10 magnacut manix, but i'll still be happy with a lw version, even if a g10 version is never made. eric already said that it would have screws and all m2lws are already moving to screws, so i'm not sure why you felt the need to say that. and, you might want to check into the ability to blade swap between lw and g10 versions of the manix. it seems there might be some issues with that swap for some reason.
