Delica was gifted to me and clip had been stripped of top layer of coating on top of clip giving it a gray color . I took it off and applied heat to top and bottom and changed color to a very dark gray with a bit of shine . MG2

I wonder if that would affect the springiness of the steel.

Yes it would look very nice against the scales . I have a Lynch on my Crucarta so I won’t be doing that mod ! I may change treat whole clip later , just experimenting. Love how the satin clips change colors and are effected by different light . Dan

This an early clip mod done years ago when working at Caterpillar. I had this clip put through a Wheelabrator to remove black finish. It left a grippy texture but not a pocket eater . Dan
