yea, rastus -- i admit that it's more than slightly confusing/complicated... but it's certainly authoritive-sounding! :D

Here is another one then I'm done. (true story too)

I was shaving my arm and said wow
as a bald spot showed readily now
from my hairs falling off
as the sheeple all scoff
while I stood there and blamed it on Sal
It is not necessary to do extraordinary things in life but only to do ordinary things extraordinarily well.

Lymerick of woe

#44

Post by rastus »

As explained by David Lowry, in a way that I could comprehend :o

Clovisc provides limerick insight
For my mind, it will take a fortnight
Long gone the Spyderprize
Sleepless nights and red eyes
Maybe next year I will get it right

The wedding cake oozing with icing,
Our happiness, and joy enticing.
The need for nervous libations,
My Spydie flicks with smiling serrations,
And lets rip with some slicing and dicing' :)

Just A Spyderco Contest of Limericks
For my 500th post, just for kicks
And Just Five Measly Lines
That should end in some rhyms
And the Winner will be hard to pick

Make it simple and follow the rules
Anyone can do it, even a fool
Try not to complicate
Write before it's too late
When you win it will be really cool

Does anyone else find themselves involuntarily thinking in limerick or fragments of limerick (however we define them) over the past few days....

Off the alarm and time to get up,
Stretch and a scratch and coffee in cup....

...that kind of thing? :D

Some’s limericks…..some’s just technically "lim"-ferior poems that sound cool anyways.

Dino-bone, bloodstone, turquoise, or MOP
What kind of Kiwi haven't they got
Jigged bone, stainless, engraved
What coin I could have saved
If Santa Fe and New Graham had stopped

A young Cajun into Zydeco
Lost his hand at his wrist to a Spyderco
So when asked fo’ de time
He would den pantomime
”Cher, look 'bout half Spyder-bite-ago”

Fear of knives is technically aichmophobia
Vice the shooting fear of hoplophobia
If you’re scared and confused
At the big words I’ve used
You have hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia

The joys of the Spyderco Manix
No sweeter deployment mechanics
All her ergos are fine
Fit and finish divine
But show it to sheeple - they panics

I mused on the Ronin by Janiche
Then purchased the Spyderco Manix
Then when offered in trade
A Kershaw and Benchmade
I but smiled and just said, “No thanix!”

:D

j
When I said that mercy stood
Within the border of the wood
I meant the lenient beast with claws
And bloody swift dispatching jaws.

Before Sal there was the nail nick.
Opening knives wasn't quick.
His historical role,
Was the Opening Hole.
Now opening knives is quite slick!

P.S. If this wins the contest I am available to do a dramatic reading at the Spyderco Factory Outlet. ;)

Thanks,
Joe

I saw my first Spyderco knife,
and knew the potential was rife,
for me to keep spending,
the collection, unending,
but how do I tell my poor wife?
