For anyone looking for a party tonight, look no further... here's an all time trance classic from local legends bonzai records...

most of their mixes is old skool trance or retro I guess is what they're calling it these days... This is for those of you who were going to raves in the 80s and 90s wearing what turn out to be ridiculous outfits in hindsight...

No lyrics, pretty mellow and good listening tune. Which is surprising considering the band. I enjoyed stumbling across this one.

My job affords me the opportunity to listen to a lot of music, and one of my favorite things to do is listen to entire discographies of bands from start to finish. Today we're going back to '83 and listening to the whole SLAYER discography because why not.

Not wanting to over-analyze a song, but I feel like I've always looked at this song differently from many people. Many just find it a heart-warming coming-of-age song about a proud father whose beloved son grows up to be just like him.

I've always seen it as being about a lifetime of missed opportunities; that although the father and the son love each other, whenever one wanted to bond with the other, the other was too busy, and always had (or chose) other priorities over that. In the end, they would realize that they missed out on years, and then an entire lifetime. This idea I had was really confirmed when my dad died, and my older brother lamented the fact that he never actually spent any time with dad, and now he would never get the chance.

Maybe that was the actual intent of the song, and maybe not; I don't know.

Excellent choice Sir, only band I saw in 10 years. The hardest part in that most noble endeavor is to get past the first couple scream albums, when you're south of heaven it's smooth sailing into the abyss and beyond...
