how does everyone like this one? compared to the urban? might have to get that salt too...

That’s a really nice looking piece. Not on my radar, but it looks like a great edc.

Re: Lil’Native slippie, at last
Thank you.
The work was done by Way of Knife. They do good work and mine was done very quickly although they set proper expectations that it could be up to a few weeks.
The texture on the scales looks great in my opinion and it is very grippy without being abrasive. The blade finish is "acid wiped". They have a lot of blade finishes to choose from and it took me a while to settle on one. I'd get another one done by them for sure.

Thanks for the Way of Knife reference, JR. Just what I’ve been looking for, though not for my Lil’Native slippie.

Haha, yep. I had to do something and there are no scales swaps for the slippie version and it's unlikely any will ever be available.

Re: Lil’Native slippie, at last
Yes, linerless with inserts for the clip. Looks like it would relatively easy to make scales for it if people are OK with no clip. The main reason I don't think there will be scales made is low sales. After such a long wait, I'm not seeing the posts I expected once this dropped. Maybe when it hits Europe we will see more demand. I hope so.

I would love to see this model smoothed and contoured like the Shaman. CF/S90V would be the icing on the cake!

Re: Lil’Native slippie, at last
Bad day: tested positive for C-19. Feeling a bit off-colour, but getting some work done.
Good day: my Lil’Native slip-it arrived from DLT!
I’m really liking the spring tension - and the lack of a half stop. Tbh I was a little trepidatious on these, and also the ergo’s, having not got on with the comp lock version. YMMV but I found the manipulation of the latter to use the comp. lock a little fiddly. The slip-it does away with all that faff, and is the better for it.

Re: Lil’Native slippie, at last
A couple of nice touches : the tuning fork back spring means the beautifully flush back spring/spacer stays so throughout the opening/closing of the blade. Nice.
The spoon clip rigidity makes sense now, as this gives your finger tips purchase when manipulating the blade.
Similarly, the absence of jimping - the excellent ergonomics are such the Lil’Native doesn’t need it.

had a chance to try one of these out. sharper edges on the spine/hole than i expected given the stonewashed nature of the comp lock version. fit and finish are excellent. Not sure if it'll stick around, however....
