that's very tempting, although i'm not sure about cruwear. it's in my cart... trying to decide if i want it bad enough. i was also hoping for an i coated blade, but dlc is awesome too and would be nice on cruwear especially. very tempting.

Manix2 CPM-Cruwear Satin Blade Smooth Black G-10 C101GPCW2 KnifeCenter (USA) was released in July 2019 for $130.00 so the new Black DLC Blade for $168.00 is a good price considering DLC coating adds cost plus we've had inflation. For reference, the regular production Manix2 S30V Black DLC Blade & G-10 has a street price of $170.17.

Cruwear is an excellent steel, and very likely we won't find it again at this price point in any of the beefier folder models. It won't be difficult to later get your initial investment back if desired.

DLC soaks up oil like a sponge and can do a lot to resist against corrosion. If you don’t treat it like a salt knife, I don’t think you will have any issues with rust.

That's where I was at. Can only get one. Both all Black, and while I'd probably favor the Wharncliffe in an apples to apples comparison, CBBL and Cruwear wins.

A PM2 wharncliffe is intriguing and I was on the fence until I saw this little paragraph on the Cutlery Shoppe Page that hints this will show up in different steels. I will wait now and see what shows up. That's just not an attractive price for S30V when their last 2 Rex PM2s cost less.
