The one I have hasn’t even been sharpened and has a notch, a big one at that…
So is this true or do I have a fake
Thanks wayne
Sorry I’m new here, can’t see how to add pics
If it was not sharpened then I don’t think they would sell it that way but maybe.yablanowitz wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 5:57 pmAs far as I know, they dropped the plan for a 204P Mule because the steel went into production knives, including but not limited to Spyderco knives, before the Mule run was made. I suppose if any did get completed, they could have been sold as factory seconds at the annual Sale, but I certainly didn't see any there.
The K390 Mule has the same notch in the pin holes ^^FullScaler wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 3:58 pmThe scale pin holes look a little rough, like they have a notch in the side of them. Very cool piece no matter how you slice it.

Yikes. That would make me nervous about even using it.The original MT-14 was scheduled to be CTS 204P. It was the first batch that Carpenter made. We made 127 Mule Teams and then realized that something was wrong as we could break them with our hands.
It would make me nervous about looking at it too hard.
Hi burly, sorry it’s staying in the collection, I need it for the full mule team collectionburlyspyder wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 1:01 pmGiven that it sounds unusable due to the HT or other production issues, I'd be interested in it for use as a blank to make scales. Let me know if interested in this option.
Cheers,

I thought the pins holes looked like that on the older mules. I think Spyderco has since updated it so the laser cutter starts in the piece to be cut out but they did have a hiccup with the MT32.FullScaler wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 3:58 pmThe scale pin holes look a little rough, like they have a notch in the side of them.
