Some good ole S30V for me today as well. 15dps in an already, very thin blade...super slicer!

native salt - for us spongebob squarehandle folks that live in the bottom of the sea

the native is not my favorite knife, so i don't carry it very often. however, every time i do carry it, i'm reminded of how great it is. it's so comfortable in my hands. for me, probably only second to the manix. i know that's a little controversial around here because everyone hates the blocky handles on these knives, but somehow they fit my hand really well.

the main reasons i'm not a bigger fan of the native are the short cutting edge for a 3" blade (although i do really like the choil) and the blade thickness, which seems just a little too thick for a small blade. maybe i should be looking closer at the native chief after all.

Or err to the other extreme with the Lil' Native LW when it gets released? Thinner blade stock than all the other Lil Native variants. I'm with you on the 'blocky' Native 5 though. I like the hand-feel and I'm looking forward to the new Salt in Magnacut so I can try that steel out.

I just feel like there could be a model that is a tad larger than the Native to wedge the gap. A Chief is pretty big.

i don't want to ruin this song for you, but it 100% reminds me of the music from the commercial for the '80s game crossfire.
