Get yourself a stainless Harpy while you still can.

Stainless steel construction, very solid, rigid, just built like a small tank!
VG-10.
Hawkbill.
Serrated.

These 4 features could cover a lot of firsts for some guys, besides Hannibal would never steer you wrong! ;)
Is it slick? I've got a stainless delica and it is too slick. Great fit and finish and lock up. A very nice knife. But I can't keep it in my hand.
Yeah, it is, or definitely slicker than I'm used to. I was gifted my Harpy at Christmas, it's a knife I've never given a second thought to, it's never been on my radar, ever! The night I got it I really played with it a lot and inspected it really good, and got cut by it! It's a dang well made, super tight tolerance, solid little knife! But to your question, yeah it's slick!

i carry a se hawkbill every day in my wallet... the ladybug hawkbill salt se. it's a great knife, but i'm not sure i need a larger hawkbill. that's part of why i carry the ladyhawk, because i like the utility of the se hawkbill, but don't really need it for a full-sized, dedicated edc folder. it's a good suggestion though. i'd definitely consider it if not for the ladyhawk.

If I were looking for a unique older VG-10 model, I'd search out a Breeden Rescue, it's just such a cool looking design!

Well my all time favorite VG-10 model is actually getting to be a "Rare Bird" even in the collector community. This VG-10 model goes all the way back to 2004. It was one of the very first Spyderco fixed blade models that was designed "In House" ( Spyderco design). I'm speaking of the TEMPERANCE 1 model. It's one of the very few Spyderco fixed blades that was available in SE & PE both.

For me it had a handle design so perfect it's as though it was custom designed for my own hand. And it is such a super functional design that to this day I use it probably 2 to 4 times a week. It's a great outdoor knife and a great kitchen knife as well>> even though it wasn't designed for kitchen chores. But the TEMPERANCE 1 along with the original C-60 Massad Ayoob model ( 2002 & 2011 runs) are by far my two favorite Spyderco VG-10 models.

Another vote for the Endela Wharncliff in VG10, but try SE. 👍

Trying to think of all my discontinued VG-10 models.....

**My newly acquired Massad Ayoob, fantastic! I think every Spyderco fan, collector, & user should have one in their collection!
**My Superleaf, some may disagree with this assessment, it's a Japanese Manix with a compression lock!
**My Caly 3.5, able to get screaming sharp because it's so thin BTE, disappears in the pocket, feels fantastic in the hand!
**My Stretch 1, slicing machine! One of the most comfortable handles Sal has ever created, a true workhorse!
**My Captain, weirdest of the weird! I've been saying I was going to have a fire sale, this is actually the only knife I've ever sold before. A guy on FB really really wanted it and made it worth it for me to sell to him! This Captain is actually the reason I brought up the Breeden Rescue earlier, that Captain was such a well built, very stout knife, so I'm sure the Rescue would be also. And the Rescue looks a heck of a lot better than the Captain!

Besides the normal Delica's, Endura's, Endela's, and Dragonfly's, I think that list above is all the older VG-10 models I own?

Yep, this is a great suggestion!

And whether you choose the Endela, the Rockjumper, or even a Stretch 1, you'll get your VG-10 steel and the choice of three of the best handles ever put on a Spyderco!

Again a couple of these will probably be hard to round up but I think if I really had to pare down my VG-10 to just a few knives they'd be the D'Allara Rescue, Caly 3.5, Rescue 79mm, and the already mentioned Worker Sprint.

I don’t have many but no problem with the steel . I would say my Super Leaf , Adventura, and jigged bone Kiwi are my standouts in VG10 . MG2

Does it have to be a folder? What about a Bill Moran? There's nothing out there like it.

Centofante 3. Elegant, great slicer, and it's not even that expensice. Or it was not when I bought mine.

Sold mine to get a Battlestation, but that is a completely different type of knife...
