That's actually quite the value for the material. I tried to buy a 12" piece of Damasteel Bjorkman's Twist like what they're using about a year ago to try it out and it was going to be $300 for the barstock. I ain't talented enough to gamble that if I fudged it. Granted I'm sure Spyderco gets discounts, but still that's expensive stuff. The $280 street price is a steal.

Man, Spyderco, you're killing me! Just when I think I bought my "last" knife, you release all this goodness! I picked up my first Spyderco last year, the exclusive Endela HAP40/SUS410. Then I picked up the M4 Poliwog, then a M4 Smock on the secondary market, then the Elmax PM2, the newest laminated Mule (sadly missed the MagnaCut), the 4V Jester, and finally the 204P PM3, arriving tomorrow. I pre-ordered the MagnaCut Manix2 at Knifecenter. Now it looks like I'm going to have to buy another PM2 in CruWear. You guys are going to get me divorced!

For a second I thought these just released too. Looking forward to this model! I can see this and the Swick getting a lot of carry time.

I added the Subway Bowie because Sal said they are getting in production pieces. However, we know that doesn't necessarily mean they have sheaths for them yet.
We've got to be close to getting the Swicks... I can feel it in my bones! I'm already committed to three.

I'm curious what these are going to be listed at, considering that the Crucarta PM2 is now readily available under $190 at a bunch of places. I'd think they would need to keep it pretty close to that to be competitive.

Sooooooooooooo much frn!!!! One freakin knife in G10 or anything besides frn on this page...and it's purple. Not a fan at all of this direction from Spyderco the past few years. Cheap looking handles EVERYWHERE

Seems like unless it's an exclusive, then it's frn and some kind of super corrosion resistant steel. Where did all the high wear resistant stainless and tool steels with G10 and liners go??

i don't hate frn, but i definitely understand the frustration. i'm still disappointed that we didn't get a spy27 manix in g10. i'm hopeful for a magnacut manix with g10, but it looks like it's coming out as a lightweight and we may never see a g10 version for that one either.

my biggest issue with frn though is paying g10 prices for it. it's especially irritating because it makes it difficult to buy aftermarket scales and customize the knife. and even if you can, with the prices the way they are going, it starts to get really ridiculous to customize your knives.

The regular production PM2 CruCarta is $188.65 and I’m sure DLT will have a competitive price for their exclusive Satin CruWear & Purple G-10 (I’m guessing around $185). The DLT exclusive DLC CruWear & Purple G-10 from August 2020 was $182 and DLC usually is about $15 more.

At this point I'm very regretful for ever selling most of my G10 Manix collection (I had 6 at one point, now I'm down to 2) Had I known they were going in the direction of light weight, plastic toy handles with no liners and steel made for people living like Spongebob in the bottom of the ocean...I NEVER would have sold them. I fear you may be right about us not seeing more new offerings of G10 models. It's been awhile now! I really hope I'm wrong (which isn't uncommon )

Also completely agree with customizing factor as well. That's half the fun of having a knife you love, is making it your own!
