Nice photo of those Manixes, Ramonade. At first I thought it was a mirror image.

Stovepipe in the pocket today.

This arrived a few minutes ago, and I immediately flipped the clip to lefty carry. Spectacular knife!

I have the Smock and keep looking at this knife. Ladybug93 has one and also watched review by Nick S. My main worry is closing one handed as a lefty.
I hear you. I have the weird situation of doing fine motor skills better as a lefty, and gross skills better as a righty. So normal "knife activities," like cutting, slicing, carving, spreading, etc., get done lefty. The only things I would choose to do righty are madman murdery stabbing and slashing, if forced to defend myself with a knife.

BUT, I have neural tumors in my left hand that prevent fidgeting or even normal open/close with certain locks and handle configurations, even if it's a lefty knife. The fact is, I can open and close most folders better with my right hand. period. What all of that means, at least to me, is that I'll never be able to carry and manipulate most one-handed folders properly, so I just buy whatever knives I want (and can afford), and then figure out how to deploy them as best I can. Often this means carrying and deploying righty, and then shifting the knife to my left hand for use.

Also, for my uses it's more important to deploy the knife one-handed than to close it one-handed. That's why I've made my peace with comp locks.

i would not suggest this one for a lefty unless you're okay switching hands to close it. i really have to just get my fingernail in there to close it. i even had to not carry it earlier this week because i but my fingernail down to low, which made it very difficult to get to the lock and painful to press it. by contrast, i have a yojimbo and caribbean that i can sort of close left handed, but with the small cutout for the lock and small amount of handle to hold while operating it, i can't get the ikuchi left handed.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

Ha ha! No I'm serious. Turn your phone (or carefully your monitor) sideways. Look in-between the handles. It's like one of those images where you either see wine glasses or two faces.

I absolutely saw it immediately. I think our mutual buddy missed a great picture if background was completely white out . ;) MG2

As one who is not into chronographs and also one who wouldn't know what to use (or rather justify) that knife for, I like this combo a whole lot.
