The only thing that I can reply to this is that anyone of your colleagues can be glad and proud to have someone among them with that kind of attitude. I guess that's pretty rare.DAYWALKER wrote:...for my own safety yes, I should have left. Maybe that is just the reason why they went after the office jobs they now have. But you can find these people with a weak character in all areas be it the military, administration or economy. We all have to deal with them  The sad thing is that in your case your life might be at risk because of their decisions and that's not right...DAYWALKER wrote:The history of the LT and TACO ( :D ) are not too great. They could not handle the floor when they were CO III's...which is why they're so useless now as supervisors.
Rethinking what you wrote I believe that you have the respect of the inmates. If you were treating them like animals they would have paid it back as soon as they had the opportunity to do so. I am a firm believer of "treat everyone like you want to be treated" although I am not very religious. That motto often proved itself to be true. I know that the environment of a prison sets strong limitations to that but if you gained the respect of the inmates by treating them as human beings after all and if that puts you more or less on the safe side I think you're on the right way.
There are better times to come. Be careful and watch your back!
