Nice Mod! That's the MXG clip correct? I bought one that looks identical for my Endela, but ended up not liking how it sat in the pocket. I never thought to try in on my Native. That's a great idea.

This one is native 5 only from mxg. Won't fit endura/delica/pm2 etc.

You are right. I just looked at mine. Same style, but the holes are way off.

So this is a scale swap from a Native that is only available to deployed servicemembers as a gift from spyderco basically. However, you can find them on eBay fairly often.JRinFL wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 9:35 amAre those scales dyed or was there a drop I missed?SG89 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 8:55 am[img]https://i.ibb.co/ZGN4mSb/20220225-085140.jpg

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Thanks. I did not realize there was a Native 5 version of those knives. I had only seen the OG Native in tan.SG89 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 9:58 amSo this is a scale swap from a Native that is only available to deployed servicemembers as a gift from spyderco basically. The watu.
I loved this knife as soon as I got it.
Sadly, it developped a weird lock stick recently. It makes a sound different from the lockstick I experienced on PM2 or Para 3s. The weirdest thing is that I took the Sage 5 LW to see and it's the same on it.
I tried rotating the stop ping on both, relieving stress by unscrewing everything and tightening it back up. I don't know what it is.

In the collection : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Carry the REX 45 Manix a lot lately.
I'd love if the blade would show more "aging", develop more spots and patina - but still more or less "naturally", not by acrually forcing a patina.
So, as said in other posts already, I just use the knife on everything a lot, including apples, lemons, tomatoes, meat, damp wood and not cleaning the blade afterwards, carry it iwb when running and so on.
Slowly it begins to show some subtle discoloration, but really not much.
