H1 is easily the winner with several Pacific Salts in the boat and a handful of spares. Also a few other Salt 1s

Then a mix of many with probably M4 being a front runner.

It’s threads like this where I am always surprised at just how many steels I actually own thanks to Spyderco’s variety

I don't have an extensive collection, but the steels I have most of in spyderco are M4 and recent. Didn't plan it to be that way but I've been very happy with how they sharpen and perform and it just happened.

I'd guess I have more VG-10 than anything else. A lot of Seki lockbacks in my collection. A fair bit of S30V and 8Cr13 and H1 in the mix too.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

I'd like to think it's M4/REX45/K390, but it's more likely s30/35vn with a growing number of 20cv just because that's what most companies are using.

These are the knives that I bother to keep sharp and use on a regular basis. About half are Spyderco. I have some cheaper import knives of little consequence which did not make the list.

Seems like this list represents my taste pretty well. I would probably say that K390, Cruwear, and Rex45 are my favorite knife steels.

Three steels I would like to add to the collection that I don’t currently have in the rotation are CPM M4, ZDP-189, and Magnacut.

I’ve used ZDP in the past, but not for quite some time. M4 I’ve never used - I’m thinking a Gayle Bradley is in my future. Magnacut is probably going to be a fixed blade.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

VG-10 would be #1 by a mile. The four behind that, in no particular order, would be S30V, MBS-26, GIN-1, and AUS-8

INFI and it isn't even close is number 1. 154CM because of Emerson and M4 because of the stupid numbers of Para2s produced in that steel. I have over 20 Spydercos in different steels that I rotate in EDC. That's why Spyderco is the best. I can't imagine what I'd do if they just made everything in SPY27 or something. I'd have more Emerson designs if they weren't all 154CM to be honest. I'm sorta getting sick of everything being M390/20CV too. I can't wait until I'm sick of Magnacut. :winking-tongue

I wonder how it is now back in my sock drawer.
I had a rule : aim for a new steel in a new design. Don't even think about it now, but still try to obtain new steels in priority.
I tested and am currently testing numerous designs. I bet the more present steel is S30V for me. O
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

This is me too, Vg10 the most, then tied with 8cr & s30v as a second. I have a few sekis too.

M4 then Rex45. I don't know what would come after that, maybe S110V.

I wanna see Sal's, Eric's, Kristi's, and Michael's answer to this one. Wonder if they'd need to hire someone to do the counting.
