Looks like the Para 3 ship has finally sailed...or at least for the LW model. Complaints seem to be piling up on the model in general lately.

It's far (edit: FAR) from my favorite model, but ~1100 knives sold in 2 hours is pretty impressive no matter how you look at it

Oh for sure! I'm happy for St Nick's (my favorite exclusives, hands down) But...We've come so used to seeing Para 3 drops last under 5 minutes for a few years now. Seems like the past few anybody has had drop, have sat a bit longer than usual.

Five minute sellouts are an exception not the norm. That should never be used to gauge the success of an exclusive. They’ve sold over 1100 in just barely over two hours. This was a successful drop for St. Nicks.

I like the LW Para 3's a lot. I was working from home today, so was ready at "go" time on the website and got one. Very smooth process online with St. Nick's.

Ah who am I kidding, it was the colour combination that did it for me. I'll have to pay import tax in EU which is always a bummer but I'm still stoked to get this one. Love the St Nicks colours.

I totally forgot about that satin Rex45/white FRN that took a while to sell out. That was a steal at $122.

The price of $135 is very good considering the regular production Para3 Lightweight CTS-BD1N Black DLC Blade with Black FRN is $130.90.

These should sell out by the end of the weekend if not today (after 4.5 hours there are still nearly 400 in stock). The days of these being sold out in minutes is probably gone due to the sheer number of Exclusives released the past year.

Yes, lots of people like the LW. We've had a few different threads pop up here over the past couple years talking about the action and the blade being off centered on a number of them. Nothing that would matter to ME, but I know it's a big deal to a lot of people. I had one when they were first released just to check it out, mine didn't have either of those issues.

Yeah, those colors are killer. I can understand why St. Nicks's sprints are so popular. Especially with freaking CPM 4v!

I haven't had a Para 3 Lightweight since they first came out. I remember thinking it was blade heavy. Thinner blade stock would make it more appealing to me.

Well, you did a terrible job of saving me from myself. I have one on the way.

I've been wanting to try a Para 3 LW anyways, and this also gets me some 4V (which is on my short list of steels I want to sample). Hopefully the action is ok with only 1 washer and that DLC coating. I imagine that combo could have some extra drag compared to the G10 satin versions I've handled.

Almost bought one, but got 3 already that should last me the rest of my life.

I do like the ergos on these better than the Delica.

I think if you sell out in a week, it's win win for everyone, except maybe the flippers.
