Spyderco 2022 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

For a newbie, I presume this list only for special releases. Is there a timeline or schedule for standard models, like the PM2 Cruwear:)? Or a typical release date, say normal re-stocks happen on Friday? Thanks!

The lists include both Exclusives/Sprints (special releases) and regular production (standard) models. Spyderco doesn’t provide release dates.

They must have gotten a small batch. Their website shows it as OOS now. Hopefully supply will catch up with demand soon.

You might want to check again. It seems to be a glitch on their site for me - the search page with the thumbnail image says OOS, but if I click through to the product detail, it lets me add to cart.

Hardware, clip and Compression Lock are all black coated. The price of $135 is very good considering the regular production Para3 Lightweight CTS-BD1N Black DLC Blade with Black FRN is $130.90.

Even with a run of 1,600 I wish they would initially (for the first couple of days) limit it to 2-4 per customer so that everyone gets a chance to get one.

I have doubts that they'll be available longer than an hour. I seem to recall that most of their 4V exclusives make it about 5 minutes.

Edit: I should probably contribute actual data. The following are data points from the Spyderco Wiki (Spydiewiki), St. Nick's website, and RamZar's previous list threads.
Number of knives produced and time from drop to being sold out in order of date:

September 20, 2018 - Para 3 G-10 - 700 knives - 42 minutes
August 4, 2019 - Lil' Native - 350 knives - 2 minutes
September 19, 2019 - Shaman - 450 knives - 1 minute
April 10, 2020 - Manix 2 G-10 - 550 knives - 2 minutes
April 25, 2020 - Paramilitary 2 - 1,200 knives - 2 minutes
July 31, 2020 - Native 5 Lightweight - ? - ?
August 28, 2020 - Native 5 G-10 - ? - ?
January 14, 2022 - Native Chief - 525 knives - 4 hours

The recent SNK Native Chief 4V took over 4 hours to sell out and that was a run of just 600. Of course, Para3 is a lot more popular.

I did some digging and edited my last post. This is what I could find.

I also feel that the Native Chief is more of a niche market, whereas the rest of the models they released have wider appeal.

None of dealer exclusives have been selling like they did at the start of COVID and before. The 4 hour was actually a crazy long time compared to 4 minutes, niche market or not. The Shaman went way faster too, and that is not that much different of a market than the chief. It took days to sell out the Fradon Lock PM2. They finally did a max of 4 per order.

Due to the volume of knives available, and this historic data, I'm going to agree with Freddie and guess they'll all be gone around the hour mark.

Wow! I knew there has definitely been an increase, but didn't realize it was that steep. That's a shocking difference over the past 2 years.

Not necessarily. If there's a backlog of orders and they pause until they're caught up, then resume taking orders, there might not be a noticeable gap. I assume all the knives we're seeing now were probably ordered last year.
