Started out carrying the Yojumbo, but switched to the Military after I got the replacement body screw in the mail.

The only thing better is the K390 Endela! :winking-tongue
Ha! That is the one that got me started. It's in my pocket a lot. In fact, it was in my pocket when I picked the Endura up from my local shop. I will say I tend to prefer the Endura. For what feels like nothing in the pocket, you get extra blade. If you have ever compared the two side by side, they actually did not mellow out the Endura humps to get the Endela scales, they added a little height to the scales in between the humps. So the Endela has a slightly wider scale.

I actually like the less belly on the blade too on the Endura. I like the belly on the Endela don't get me wrong, but the Endura is like a compromise between a wharncliffe blade and the Endela. I love the blade and handle of the Kapara. The Endura is like a work horse version of that.

Just arrived. I feel like carrying this knife could help create the situations it is intended to help you get out of. Hope I'm wrong! :smiling-halo

This knife has been on my list of coolest looking Spydercos since I saw it. Really cool model with the engineering behind the self closing compression lock. Wish they incorporated those ideas into other models.

Still carrying the knife my best friend got me for Christmas. A lot of bang for your buck with this one.

how do you like it for edc tasks? i've always wanted one, but held out in hopes that spyderco would hear my cries and make it in h1 like it deserves.

For my EDC there's nothing it can't do. At cardboard cutting, it's even a little better than some. There are the occasional thing that a straight plain edge could do better, like cutting against a flat surface, but with the small belly or the tip of the Matriarch, I get it done. Obviously I'm not chopping onions, whittling, or batonning wood with it.
It's an aggressive cutter, and if you've never used a knife with an Emerson Wave opener, it will spoil you.

VG-10 is a good steel with a lot to offer, but if they made one in H-1 I'd likely buy it. I like sharpening H-1, it's an easy steel to work with.
