I used the knife for all sorts of stuff this week. Opening packages, scraping gaskets, opening tubes of grease, stabbing a hole in an oil filter and I was even batonning some small pieces of fatwood to start a fire. Somehow this thing has turned into a beater.

That's awesome to hear! Let us know if it develops any play or wonkiness...maybe that is inherent? I've never owned a balisong.
So it goes.

I went with something a little different for work tonight. Couldn't remember the last time I carried this one. Since I switched to coarse edges I've come back to preferring PE, but it's always good to try different knives from time to time.

And how did SE feel to you after that long break you took from it?

Inspired by your posts (thanks!) I came to really like your coarse edges (or rather the kind of coarse edges I can create) almost always over more polished ones.
But I still prefer SE - for me it somehow can be the "better coarse edge" while still being "polished" in a way.
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Oh my gosh! We get it. You live in Heaven. 😉

In all seriousness that's gorgeous. Curious what you think of that LC200n vs VG-10 since you have had it awhile.

You're not kidding! We've come up with quite a few ways to justify our Monday carries lately :cheap-sunglasses

If I ever get a PM2 again or a Military, I am going to seek out the digi camo to Rit Dye. Those scales look great everytime I see them.
